Miss tourism culture Siaya county 2016/2016 is Asango Anne AKA Heart. She is currently a 3rd year student at Jooust taking a bachelors degree in science food security.
The last born in a family of 6 ladies , the 21 year old is an alumnus of Nakuru mixed day school and is 5’6. She has a passion for both fashion and football. And simply describes herself as a go getter.
How did you get into fashion?
I more or less fell into it. One of my sisters was really passionate about fashion and that rubbed of on me.Sadly she passed on.
Why miss tourism?
I heard about the auditions on radio with my family and they dared me to go for it. So I decided to try and look at how well it punned out.
I however started with Miss Ugenya where I was the 2nd runners up and was therefore selected to try for miss tourism Siaya county.
What have you done with your crown so far?
Am currently involved in various projects, one being the donation of sanitary towels all over Siaya county .
I also promote talents for youths through football tournaments.
Do you work alone…
No ,I do not work alone. I work together with a team of people.

Where do you get funds for all this?
Being Miss Tourism for siaya county I mostly get the funds from the county government.
Why not compete for miss Jooust?
It’s all about giving opportunities to others as I already have this crown going for me.
What were some of the challenges going for the crown?
The challenge mostly came from my fellow competitors , some were completely difficult to deal with especially their attitudes.
Did you know that you will win?
Not really, there is that moment of fear especially the pressure at the runway and during the question and answer time.
How did it feel to be crowned?
It felt really good and I thank God for everything.
What would you name you fashion sense?
I don’t have a specific style I would go for because I tend to mix everything but I do have a soft spot for vintage pieces, mostly vintage prints.
Who is your role model?
Rihanna. I love everything about her, her clothes, her hair, how she does her make up. They are all just cool.
Current works ?
A red cross function where 1.2million trees are to be planted around the country but it was unfortunately postponed.
A county arts gala . The preparations are underway.
Benefits of having the crown?…
Allowances from activities that we perform.
It creates a larger platform for bigger things.
Who do you look up to here in Jooust?
Julie onyinye – A 4th year Computer Forensics student- Currently Miss Tourism Kenya- Kisumu County.

Believe in beauty beyond the skin.
Am water phobic.
Am not partyholic
